Bio

Hannah Sutherland is a photographer and emerging filmmaker pursuing an MFA in Documentary Filmmaking at The City College of New York, with a BFA in Photography from Seattle University. Her work blends documentary and narrative approaches, focusing on people, place, and community. She has experience working on film sets, in galleries, and in classrooms, often in collaborative roles. Her work has been shown in Seattle, WA, New York City, and internationally, including a screening of her short FALAISE at the Cannes Film Festival (2025). Sutherland’s work continues to take shape through hands-on production, teaching, and an ongoing interest in grounded, human-centered storytelling.
